When you create an account on Lyrii, we collect your username, email address, and an encrypted version of your password. We also collect content you choose to create, including posts, journal entries, messages, and other writings.

We automatically collect basic usage data such as page visits, device type, and general location (country-level) to improve the platform experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to provide and improve Lyrii's services, including:

• Account authentication and security
• Delivering features like analytics, writing activity heatmaps, and Writer DNA
• Sending verification emails and important account notifications
• Improving platform performance and user experience

3. Encryption & Security

Lyrii takes your privacy seriously. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted. Private journal entries are encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt with salt rounds.

We never sell your personal data to third parties. We never read your private journals or encrypted messages.

4. Ghost Reader Mode

When Ghost Reader Mode is enabled, your profile views and post reads are not tracked. You remain invisible to other users' analytics dashboards.

5. Anonymous Features

Content posted through Secret Crush Stories, Message in a Bottle, and anonymous Unsent Letters cannot be traced back to your account by other users. Only you can see your own anonymous submissions in your account.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data, posts, messages, and journal entries will be permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use a single essential authentication cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
